At Pawsitive Care, my goal is to provide safe, reliable, and loving care for your pets. These policies help keep everything clear and make sure things run smoothly for both pets and their owners. If you ever have questions, feel free to ask.
A free meet and greet is required before any services begin. This gives us a chance to meet, go over your pet’s routine, and make sure everyone feels comfortable.
I schedule visits within a minimum 3-hour time window chosen by the client. For example, you might choose 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. or 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. This helps me fit in all visits while allowing time for travel, traffic, weather, and anything unexpected that comes up. You can request a specific time if needed, just let me know ahead of time so I can make sure it is possible.
Please allow a 15-minute grace period. This means I may arrive up to 15 minutes early or up to 15 minutes late depending on the day. I always do my best to stay on time, but delays can happen because of things like traffic, weather, or other pets needing extra care. If I’m ever going to be later than that, I’ll always let you know as soon as possible.
Although I do not charge for late cancellations yet, if I show up for a service and I am unable to access the dog due to the fault of the client, you will be charged 75% of the service cost.
Clients are responsible for ensuring I can safely access their home. Any keys, lockboxes, or entry instructions are kept private and used only for pet care.
If there’s ever an emergency, I’ll try to contact you right away. If I can’t reach you after multiple attempts, I’m authorized to take your pet to a vet. Any veterinary costs are the owner’s responsibility.
All pets considered for group outings must be safe to handle and must not have a history of or show dangerous or aggressive behaviour. Please let me know about any medical issues or behavioural concerns when booking group services. If you are a new client and are interested in group services, I will have to start with solo services to ensure the safety of the other dogs. If your dog does happen to attack another dog, in my care or not, you are required to cover any veterinary costs.
Walks may be adjusted, shortened, or moved indoors depending on weather conditions like extreme heat, cold, or storms. Your pet’s safety always comes first.
Medication can be given if discussed ahead of time. Clear instructions must be provided by the owner.
Holidays fill up quickly, so it’s best to book early if you need care during busy times.
I’ll send updates and photos in my visit reports so you can see how your pet is doing.
I reserve the right to refuse or stop services if a pet is unsafe, if the environment is unsafe, or if important information wasn’t shared ahead of time.
While I always take every precaution, Pawsitive Care is not responsible for illness, injury, loss, or death caused by circumstances including pre-existing conditions, other animals, or unexpected situations.
